The phenomenon of the creation of universe is shrouded in mystery. So
far the scientists have dished out two theories on the origin of the
universe. The first is called the Big Bang and the second Steady State.
The physicists today are set to recreate birth of universe. After 14
years and $ 8 billion, scientists at the European Centre for Nuclear
Research or CERN, outside Geneva, succeeded in turning on the most
powerful microscope ever built for investigating the elemental
particles and forces of nature. On September 11 at 4.27 am, the protons
made their first circuit around a 17 mile long racetrack known as the
Large Hadron Collider, 300 feet underneath the Swiss French border and
then made a return journey. In the words of the project director : “We
can now look forward to a new era of understanding about the origins
and evolution of the universe.” The scientists are eager to learn the mystery of Higgs' Boson, an intermediary between the formation of energy and matter creating “the baby universe”. They also want to study the details of “dark matter” and the possibility of any other new dimension, besides the four already known. The whole exercise is based on Einsteinian theory of the interconvertibility of mass and energy. Energy changes into mass and vice-versa. It seems that the scientists are in a blind alley. In his discourse on matter and abstract Shrii P.R.Sarkar had observed : "Some intellectuals are of the opinion that matter is bottled-up energy. No, matter is not bottled-up energy. The characteristics and different wonts and specialities of energy are quite different from those of matter. The mass of matter has got nothing to do with energy." He further opines: “What is matter? It is “Known I” in the cosmic arena in different planes of inferences, and these planes of inferences have nothing to do with one another. Somewhere there is maximum solidity, somewhere maximum dilution, and these phases of dilutions and solidities vary in huge number. So matter is not bottled up energy.” He further adds, “ Where this movement in the plane of inferences of Cosmic nature, that is, in the cosmic arena, creates a reflection only, there the reflected energy, creates a sort of sentient reaction. And where there are reflections as well as refractions these are of mutative character, creating mutations of various nature. And where there is no reflection, only refractions, they are of static nature. There is staticity in them. So matter is not bottled up energy -it is “Known I” in the cosmic arena, in the arena of the cosmos.” Shrii Sarkar differentiates between energy and matter. He writes, “Energy is inter-transmutable and inter changeable, but matter is not inter-transmutable and/or interchangeable. It undergoes metamorphosis once, but not always, that is, one way but not vice-versa.” As mass of matter has nothing to do with energy, the whole exercise of LHC will end in a whimper.
