| The Big Bang Mega Experiment |
 |
 |
 |
| Written by Deomaniji “Venu” |
I am inclined to point out about the inherent limitations of the
physical sciences in the realm of the spiritual stratum. Former deals
with "Matter" and "Energy" which are mundane where as latter deals with
consciousness, which is spiritual. Mind which is the instrument for
utilising the physical sciences is supra objectively mundane and hence
it is capable to explore the mysteries of "Matter" and "Energy" only
which are mundane. The phenomenon called "Big Bang" (Maha
Jadasphota) at the beginning of creation is primarily the product of
interaction between "Cosmic Consciousness” and its inherent tendencies,
the trifarious principles which later converts itself into "Matter" and
subsequently into "Mind". The science behind this phenomena is clearly
spelt out in the series of lectures delivered by Shrii Prabhat Ranjan
Sarkar alias "Anandamurtiji" (1921-1990), compiled in the book "Ideas
and. Ideology".

| Capitalism: A Miserable Failure |
 |
 |
 |
| Written by Dada Vedaprajiananda |
If
you did a search on Google, a few years ago, using the words “miserable
failure” the first search result you would see would be George Bush's
official presidential site. This result was due to “Google bombing” a
technique in which many people linked to the president's website using
the words “miserable failure.” Google changed its ranking algorithm and
you no longer get the presidential site when searching for “miserable
failure” but maybe a more relevant result for a miserable-failure
search would be to find the Wikipedia page on “Capitalism.”

Ang KaSaMa, present alternatives, instead of merely shouting "Down with
capitalism and feudalism." After revolution came the new day, a time of
democratic space, fresh beginnings, and euphoric atmosphere. A period
of expectations. A time of harvest. A religious and moral leadership
that brings promise of liberation from quagmire of poverty. So much
expectation that caused a lot of frustrations towards the end. But not
so for Ang KaSaMa.

The Human Costs
The
human costs of this economic meltdown are only beginning to be felt.
More than a million US citizens have lost their homes in the past two
years, and a million more are expected to lose their homes in the
coming12 months. Yet the United States government continues to pay more
of the mortgage costs of rich homeowners, through larger tax
deductions, than of poorer homeowners.

From a distance the bizarre structures sprouting from the high Alentejo
plain in eastern Portugal resemble a field of mechanical sunflowers.
Each of the 2,520 giant solar panels is the size of a house and they
are as technically sophisticated as a car. Their reflective heads tilt
to the sky at a permanent 45 degrees as they track the sun through 240
degrees every day.

The Tata Group, a family-owned Indian multinational with 2005 revenues

reputation. The corporation's flagship company Tata Steel made its
riches through large-scale takeover of tribal lands in Jharkhand and
Orissa and opportunistic business deals with the British colonial
powers and the East India Company. |

Tenergy cost has gone up all over the world which has disturbed economic parameters one way or the other. Last
ten years, India is boasting of high economic growth rate. Everybody is
bullish. Government officers, politicians, economists, industry
captains, stock brokers, builders, traders, everybody has expressed
happiness with economy. As the global community developed confidence in
Indian economy, they started investing in India and the foreign
exchange reserve has gone up from zero to 270 billion dollars in last
20 years. With such funds available we have seen large construction
activity in Idia.

| Prout In A Nutshell - The Best Form of Government |

In democratic countries the party in power tries to propagate their
party ideals through the educational system. They prescribe only those
text books which coincide with their party ideals. The universities are
forced to surrender before the government because of their financial
dependency. The Proutist movement will have to make the universities
and educational institutions free from dirty party politics, otherwise
the educational system will go on changing according to the rise or
fall of different party governments. The duty of the government is to
finance the universities and not to interfere in their internal
affairs. The broadcasting system, too, should be free from government
control.

Be a First-Class Person
There are three categories of human beings. The
first category comprises of those whose thoughts, words and deeds are
the same – which means whatever they think, they speak, and whatever
they speak, they do. Such people are A-class people. The second
category comprises of those whose thoughts and words are different, but
whatever they speak, they do – which means they think one thing and
speak another, but they do whatever they speak. Such people are B-class
people.

Media plays a very important role in our day-to-day life. It is like
opium, if you taste it you are hooked for ever. That explains why most
of us start our day with the news on T.V. channels and newspapers.
People have a lot of trust in reporters and editors. We believe in
everything they write or speak and consider it true. But, in actual
practice it is not so. In most of the cases, the news is either false
or motivated.

Banta's Delusion
Banta thought he was dead, but in
reality he was very much alive. His delusion became such a problem that
his family finally paid for him to see a psychiatrist. The psychiatrist spent many laborious sessions trying to convince Banta that he is still alive. Nothing seemed to work. Finally
the doctor tried one last approach. He took out his medical books and
proceeded to show Banta that dead men don't bleed. After hours of
tedious study, Banta seemed convinced that dead men don't bleed.

Now the time has come to recognize that unbridled greed, only profit
motive-besides creating strain between poor and rich relationships lead
man to grosser tendencies responsible for many a crime generated out of
want. American economy is in deep crisis. Lehman Brothers, the
biggest bank, has gone bankrupt; other financial giants namely Freddic
Mac, Fennie Mae, AIG, Merril Lynch have failed. Inflation has risen,
thousands of jobs have been cut, consumer trading has fallen, share
market has considerably depressed. People are just shocked. Future has
suddenly become uncertain. Congress has passed $700 billion bill as a
bail out package. Global bail out package is estimated at 2 trillion.
Experts, however, feel that it will have little impact on the health of
economy and that the worst is yet not over!

Can They Deliver The Goods?
Social advancement
is the triadic blending of thesis, antithesis and synthesis. When a
particular theory or thesis loses its competence and power to effect
the collective welfare, an antithesis is created against the prevalent
theory. As a result of clash and cohesion between these two opposing
forces a resultant is created, and this resultant is called synthesis.
Is it true that the welfare of society is only possible in the stage of
synthesis? When those who have the duty and responsibility for
materializing social welfare neglect minorities or the people in
general, the synthesis of a particular age transforms itself into the
thesis of the next age.

Most
of us will agree that student days are the best in one's life. Even
though education itself never ends, the medium Mchanging from a school
to a university can be a big transition. Jawaharlal Nehru Univerisity
is a mini-world in itself with its unofficial dress code of
kurta-jeans-jhola and regional subgroups that sit together in the
cafeteria during meals. The students in JNU come from every nook and
corner of India, or more appropriately from all parts of the world. As
I walk to school every morning and see this diversity all around me,
JNU reminds me of 'Vasudev Kutumbakam' (the world is but one family),
in this case, a young and academic JNU family.

| The “Big Bang” Or A Whimper? |

 |
| Written by Amarnath Kumar |
The phenomenon of the creation of universe is shrouded in mystery. So
far the scientists have dished out two theories on the origin of the
universe. The first is called the Big Bang and the second Steady State.
The physicists today are set to recreate birth of universe. After 14
years and $ 8 billion, scientists at the European Centre for Nuclear
Research or CERN, outside Geneva, succeeded in turning on the most
powerful microscope ever built for investigating the elemental
particles and forces of nature. On September 11 at 4.27 am, the protons
made their first circuit around a 17 mile long racetrack known as the
Large Hadron Collider, 300 feet underneath the Swiss French border and
then made a return journey. In the words of the project director : “We
can now look forward to a new era of understanding about the origins
and evolution of the universe.”

Among the Indian writers, thinkers and philosophers Shrii Aurobindo,
Shrii P.R.Sarkar and S. Radhakrishnan are prominent. They expressed in

Radhakrishnan was essentially a teacher of philosophy but he laid
stress on “transcendental perception”. He had advocated such a
literature which transcends both Dionysian and Apollonian. He exhibits
the influence of transcendentalism in his writings. Shrii Aurobindo was
a Yogi, preceptor, philosopher and litterateur. He talks about a

me carefully. You must be more methodical when you do something. You
must plan ahead, do you understand?” “Yes sir,” he replied. “Tell me what you’ve understood,” said the landlord. “When I do something I must plan ahead and be methodical,” replied Bhajahari.
