Global Financial crisis

After the Great Depression, the world is seeing one of the worst economic crisis, say experts. The need of the hour  is not just to bring the economy back on track, but also to delve into the factors responsible for the chaos. It is only through an honest introspection by all those involved, that such a crisis can be averted in future.

Earlier, the economists were debating whether the current situation is a mild recession or a more serious one. But, now the economists have hardened their views. It is expected that United States and Europe will suffer from deep and prolonged recessions. Asia is in relatively better shape but will not be unaffected.


PROUT is a new socio-economic theory intended to create opportunity for every human being to develop and constructively express their full potential.

Current systems of social development are unable to provide this opportunity. They do not even have the capacity to ensure to all peace, equity, sustainability, basic necessities, and social unity required for a basic human existence. No simple reform can change this, as their defects are inherent in the fundamentals of their ideology.


Both Capitalism and Communism have failed to deliver to the masses. They made big promises but could not fulfil them. Instead, their followers have exploited humanity in all possible ways, always justifying their act. What the world wants today is an alternative economic system, which can correct the past mistakes and bring about a bright future.

One of the necessary factors in the development of a healthy society is a proper socio-economic theory. In any age, people have to come to grips with the question as to how the resources of the country are to be utilised and allocated. In addition, society needs to arrange a system of Government, which can meet the needs and aspirations of all its people.

You can’t have your cake and eat it too

Though the governments world over are trying to tide over the economic crisis, the effect is yet to be seen. Right now, we need to take lessons from the Great Depression of the 1930s.


How far permissible?

The event had all the elements to escalate the TRP ratings, instead it raised public temper and outcry against moral policing.

Just watch this. Volunteers of Ram Sena enter a pub in Manglore, catch hold of merry-making youngsters and thrash them including even the girls present there.

The incident is condemned by all--right, left or centrists. There is a great hue and cry amongst the secularists, liberals and human rights protagonists. Electronic media is at its best to highlight the outrage; it even even brands the attempt of Sena men as equal to “Talibanisation of Karnataka”.
