Neo Humanist Educational Foundation Serves The Bihar Flood Victims PDF Print E-mail

A Delhi-based Charitable Trust Neo Humanist Education Foundation offered its humble services to the flood victims of Bihar who had experienced untold miseries ever since the tragedy befell them. The Foundation had sent its volunteers led by its Managing Trustee Acarya Santosananda Avadhuta, to the site of devastation alongwith a railway wagon full of relief materials for distribution amongst the victims.


The volunteers included Trilok Singh, Baidyanath, Ravi Shankar and Manoj Jha.
One ton powder milk, one ton gram, one ton ground gram (Sattu), one thousand blankets, five hundred tirpals, five hundred towels, medicines worth fifty thousand rupees, one ton biscuits etc. were the materials which were distributed amongst the people of worst affected areas viz. Laxminia, Majhaul, Himmatganj, Triveniganj etc.


The Foundation received commendable co-operation and support from the Ananda Marga Universal Team (AMURT) volunteers who were already rendering relief to the victims. Notable amongst them are Balak, Hari Narayan, Pramod, Dhruv Kumar, Uttam Lalji, Ram Autar ji, Ac. Abhayshankarananda Avadhuta, Ac. Purnavratananda Avadhuta, Ac. Apareshananda Avadhuta and Ac. SubhaganandaAvadhuta.


The volunteers visited the site personally and directly took part in the distribution of materials amongst the needy who had lost everything and were sheltered in the make-shift tents on the banks of the river of sorrow, Kosi.
